Responsibilities
- Operate refrigeration systems and temperature-monitoring equipment to maintain optimal storage conditions (-10°F to 40°F)
- Safely load/unload refrigerated trucks using electric pallet jacks and forklifts provided by the company
- Conduct routine inspections of storage areas and reporting equipment malfunctions
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA protocols for food safety and workplace safety
- Manage inventory using barcode scanning systems and warehouse management software
- Maintain accurate documentation of temperature logs and product movements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient warehouse operations
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (company provides training)
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for 8+ hours
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
