Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Goods: Safely and efficiently handle the movement of goods from trucks to storage areas and vice versa using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock checks, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure proper labeling and organization of stock.
- Temperature Monitoring: Strictly adhere to safety protocols to monitor and maintain optimal temperature conditions within the cold storage units.
- Packaging & Labeling: Properly package and label items for shipment, ensuring all regulatory compliance standards are met.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and report any hazards immediately.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on warehouse equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods in cold environments.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehouse operations, cold storage, or logistics is preferred but not always required.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and order fulfillment.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
