Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature levels in refrigerated/freezer storage units
- Inspect and organize inventory using FIFO methods in cold environments
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts (with certification) for loading/unloading
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols in sub-zero conditions
- Conduct quality checks on perishable goods and report discrepancies
- Maintain accurate inventory logs and documentation systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- OSHA 10-hour certification or equivalent training
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly with proper technique
- Flexible availability including nights/weekends
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
