Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely load and unload refrigerated trucks and containers, ensuring products remain secure during transit.
- Inventory Management: Utilize handheld scanners to accurately track stock levels and update inventory systems in real-time.
- Maintain Safety Standards: Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Temperature Control: Monitor and maintain optimal temperature conditions within the storage facility to ensure product integrity.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep storage aisles clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure efficient workflow.
- Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavy pallets safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods in cold environments.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not required.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain a high level of accuracy.
