Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and reach forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control processes, including accurate stock counts, tagging, and picking orders to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a clean and hazard-free workspace at all times.
- Palletizing & Stacking: Properly palletize products and stack them securely to prevent damage and ensure stability during transit.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and report any maintenance issues with the forklift or facility equipment immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring that customer requirements are met with precision.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including shift reports and material transfers.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety protocols and order accuracy.
- License: Valid driver's license (Class C or higher) is required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
