Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate various forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
- Inventory Management: Perform regular cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records by tagging and stocking products correctly.
- Material Handling: Pick, pack, and ship orders with precision, adhering to strict shipping guidelines and deadlines.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, warehouse policies, and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately to the supervisor.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized and free of obstructions to prevent accidents and ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- License: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on details and maintain accuracy in inventory counts and order processing.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
