Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the receiving, storing, and distributing of products by performing accurate cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing required PPE and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Freight Handling: Perform proper documentation of goods, including scanning, tagging, and verifying shipping orders against warehouse manifests.
- Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on equipment to ensure machinery is in good working order and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals and operational deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA preferred) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and interpret shipping documents and manifests accurately.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
