Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach, or sit-down) to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse and dock areas.
- Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure safety compliance and functionality.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading and packing lists to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in strict adherence to OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with team leads to manage inventory levels and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Document daily activities, including material movement and equipment maintenance logs.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Forklift Operator Certification required.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not strictly required for qualified candidates.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and warehouse protocols.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and operate machinery for extended shifts.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
