Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (including stand-up and sit-down models) safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety, proper functioning, and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper organization of stock using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies regarding warehouse operations and hazardous materials handling.
- Assist in the packaging, labeling, and preparation of orders for shipment to clients.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet daily production targets.
- Perform general warehouse duties including sweeping, mopping, and organizing work areas to maintain a clean environment.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (Class A, B, or C) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience operating powered industrial trucks in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory and reporting.
