Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by organizing stock and ensuring proper labeling.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Material Handling: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Order Fulfillment: Support the picking and packing process to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time.
- Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris to promote operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift certification (Class A or Class B) is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
