Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Pallet Management: Properly stack and organize pallets, ensuring inventory is stored according to safety guidelines and warehouse standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols, including wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Inventory Control: Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate records of stock movement and location.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition and report any issues to management.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (CDL preferred but not required for entry-level).
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory handling.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
