Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts (including reach trucks and order pickers) in a fast-paced environment.
- Load and unload trailers with heavy pallets and materials, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times, adhering to 5S principles and safety protocols.
- Perform daily pre-shift safety inspections on all equipment and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control by conducting cycle counts and verifying stock accuracy against warehouse management systems.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- 1-2 years of recent experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
- Basic computer literacy for logging inventory data.
