Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse and dock areas.
- Load and unload freight trucks efficiently while adhering to strict safety protocols and weight limits.
- Inspect forklifts for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance checks before each shift.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is clean, organized, and safe for all team members at all times.
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with team leads to meet daily production and shipping targets.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (required).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
