Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts) and other material handling equipment to move, locate, set-up, and pull stock.
- Inventory Management: Accurately receive, verify, and stock incoming materials; perform cycle counts and maintain inventory records to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Load and Unload Cargo: Safely load and unload trucks using appropriate securing methods to prevent damage to goods.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Organization: Keep workstations, aisles, and storage areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) or be willing to obtain one.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Must be able to work in various temperature-controlled environments.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory handling.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
- Communication: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
