Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper stock placement in the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate PPE and conducting daily equipment inspections.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage and ensure all items are stored according to company standards.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and coworkers to meet daily production goals and shipping deadlines.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free workspace at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and stand for extended periods.
- License: Valid driver's license (Class C or higher) is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory counting.
