Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move, locate, and stack merchandise.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan and track inventory using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Loading & Unloading: Efficiently load and unload trucks, railcars, and shipping containers while ensuring cargo integrity.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company safety policies to prevent accidents and ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse environment at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, or Order Picker) is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Certification: Must be willing to obtain a valid forklift operator certification within 30 days of employment.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and cargo handling.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
