Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Inspect forklifts for any mechanical issues or damage before starting shifts and report any findings to management.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock is organized, labeled, and easily accessible.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a secure workplace.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and workflow goals.
- Perform general warehouse duties, including organizing pallets and maintaining a clean work area.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage to products and equipment.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA preferred) or willingness to obtain certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical labor.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as business needs dictate.
- Basic computer skills for scanning and logging inventory.
