Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to delivery vehicles.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by counting stock and recording locations, quantities, and missing or damaged goods.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace for all employees.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline warehouse operations and meet daily production targets.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse layout for optimal efficiency and safety.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not always required for qualified candidates.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery with precision and control.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking and record-keeping.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
