Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move inventory.
- Load and unload freight from trailers, trucks, and railcars according to safety protocols.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily to ensure it is in proper working condition and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to 5S standards.
- Follow all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and company policies at all times.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counting, and data entry as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Driver's License (Class B or CDL preferred, but not required for entry-level).
- Willingness to undergo forklift certification training.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
