Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and stage materials in a timely manner.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock verification, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols. Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment.
- Shipping & Receiving: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including keeping aisles clear and ensuring the warehouse floor is free of hazards.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to pass a physical examination.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
