Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO) to prevent waste.
- Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment to ensure operational safety.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline the shipping and receiving process.
- Keep the warehouse floor organized and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including packaging and labeling.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating forklifts (Counterbalance, Reach, or Stand-up) is preferred but training may be available.
- Must possess a valid forklift certification or be willing to obtain one.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic math skills required for inventory counting and scanning.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
