Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move products throughout the warehouse.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock counting, inventory organization, and maintaining accurate digital and physical records.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet daily shipping and receiving targets.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products are handled with care to prevent damage during transport.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Class A or B Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety protocols.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime during peak seasons.
