Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently in a busy warehouse environment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper placement of goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and shipping schedules.
- Verify product quantities against purchase orders to minimize errors and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (CDL is a plus but not always required for standard forklift work).
- Previous experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and basic math skills for inventory counting.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions if the role involves dock work or outdoor storage.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as business demands require.
