As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding our high safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan, count, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain precise inventory records.
- Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure equipment is in proper working order and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by promptly removing debris and organizing storage areas.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Material Handling: Safely handle heavy pallets and packages, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Technical: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
