Responsibilities
- Operational Safety: Safely operate powered industrial trucks (Forklifts, Reach Trucks, Pallet Jacks) to move, locate, and stack merchandise.
- Inventory Management: Check incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition, and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Loading & Unloading: Efficiently load and unload materials from trailers, trucks, and railcars using proper securing techniques.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including production reports, inspection records, and incident reports.
- Quality Control: Inspect equipment for defects and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure machinery is in good working order.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (Class A or B).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and interpret shipping labels, bills of lading, and inventory logs.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License required for driving dock plates and yard trucks.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff.
