Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts to safely move pallets, racks, and heavy materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload freight trucks efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Maintain a 100% safety record by adhering to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical integrity and report any defects.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts, stock rotation, and accurate documentation.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a productive environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid, unexpired Forklift Operator Certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating industrial forklifts.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Skills: Strong ability to read and understand shipping manifests and safety charts.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
