Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment (reach trucks, pallet jacks) to move, locate, and stack merchandise.
- Load and unload trailers and trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records within the warehouse management system.
- Inspect equipment daily for safety issues and report any mechanical problems to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean workspace and ensure the warehouse floor is free of debris to prevent accidents.
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies regarding hazardous materials and lifting procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory counts and damage-free handling of goods.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory data is a plus.
