Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Loading and Unloading: Perform accurate loading and unloading of trucks and containers while adhering to strict timeframes.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stock rotation, cycle counting, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure proper functionality and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Organization: Keep storage areas tidy, organized, and compliant with warehouse management systems.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Must possess a valid, current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA/OSHA-compliant).
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and product handling.
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license is required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff.
