As a Forklift Operator at Apex, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, ensuring that our inventory is handled with precision and care. We value safety above all else and provide comprehensive training for all equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory in the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and trucks safely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S safety standards.
- Update inventory records and assist in cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to meet daily shipping and receiving quotas.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (Class I, II, or III) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate tight spaces.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for counting and inventory management.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
