Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse safely.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and proper functionality.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by counting items and checking for damages.
- Tag, crate, and label materials according to company standards and inventory systems.
- Maintain a tidy work environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing the warehouse floor.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Assist in inventory audits and cycle counting as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A, B, or C Forklift Operator Certification (Required).
- Minimum of 1 year of previous forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for logging inventory or operating warehouse management software.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
