Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts, pallet jacks) to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and loading dock.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate inventory counts, check-in shipments, and maintain organized storage areas to ensure stock accuracy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, conduct daily equipment inspections, and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods for damage during transport and ensure proper packaging and labeling.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff and logistics coordinators to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a high-volume warehouse environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate busy warehouse aisles.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to read and interpret shipping manifests and inventory logs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
