Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate forklifts and material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all OSHA regulations.
- Loading/Unloading: Load and unload trucks, trailers, and railcars accurately and efficiently.
- Picking & Packing: Retrieve and prepare orders for shipment using RF scanners and handheld devices.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse system.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory management.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
