Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately load, unload, and stage inventory using RF scanners and inventory management systems to ensure stock accuracy.
- Load and Unload Trucks: Perform rigorous loading and unloading of shipping containers and trailers, adhering to all weight distribution and safety protocols.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace, perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections, and strictly follow OSHA safety guidelines.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision to minimize returns and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues with forklifts or warehouse equipment immediately to the maintenance team.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and order fulfillment.
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
