Responsibilities
- Manage and track all incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs.
- Prepare and process shipping paperwork, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure stock availability for shipping orders.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and address customer inquiries regarding delivery status and delays.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to generate reports and analyze shipping performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding.
- Strong working knowledge of shipping software and TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
