Responsibilities
- Coordinate the end-to-end shipping process, including booking freight, scheduling pickups, and managing delivery schedules.
- Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documentation, including Bill of Lading (BOL), commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments in real-time to ensure compliance with delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, warehouse staff, and customers to resolve shipping discrepancies and delays.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping data and update the company’s logistics management system.
- Assist in cost analysis and negotiation with third-party logistics providers to optimize shipping rates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data entry and analysis.
- Strong understanding of shipping regulations, including DOT and FMCSA compliance standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
