Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse facility.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts, stock inspections, and inventory organization to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Freight Processing: Check incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and accuracy, ensuring proper documentation is completed.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to streamline workflow and meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Class A, B, or C) and current forklift license.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and operating machinery.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
