Responsibilities
- Load and unload pallets, crates, and other materials from delivery trucks and shipping containers using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to transport goods to designated storage areas.
- Conduct pre-shift safety inspections on all forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Assist with inventory counting and stock organization to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff regarding inventory needs.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (OSHA 10/30 or equivalent) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
