Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan and verify incoming and outgoing shipments using handheld scanners.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform routine pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace, including stacking and organizing pallets.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and coworkers to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certification (Reach Truck, High Lift, or Sit-Down) is required.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations and material handling.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and stand for long periods.
- Documentation: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
