Responsibilities
- Operate Powered Industrial Trucks: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move, stack, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Precise Material Handling: Load and unload shipments from trailers and trucks with accuracy to ensure inventory integrity.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock movements and ensure proper labeling and organization of stock areas.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and deadlines.
- Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating industrial forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail to prevent errors in inventory counts.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Communication: Basic ability to read and understand safety signage, operational manuals, and verbal instructions.
