Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload shipments from trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and perform accurate inventory counts to ensure product availability.
- Temperature Control: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols within the refrigerated environments (below 35°F).
- Packaging: Properly package and label goods to prevent damage during storage and transit.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on machinery and report any maintenance needs immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA guidelines and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is a plus but not required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Temperature Tolerance: Comfortable working in low-temperature environments.
- License: Valid driver’s license and forklift certification (if available).
