Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Freight: Safely and efficiently load and unload pallets of goods using forklifts and hand trucks in a refrigerated environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by accurately scanning, counting, and organizing stock to maintain accurate records.
- Temperature Monitoring: Regularly check and log temperature readings to ensure product integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
- Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace, ensuring aisles are clear and hazardous conditions are reported immediately.
- Packaging: Properly package and label items to prevent damage during transit and storage.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly in a cold environment.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and safety protocols.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Basic Math: Comfortable with basic arithmetic for inventory checks.
