Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and stage product in and out of the cold storage units using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Monitor and log temperature data to ensure strict compliance with food safety and health regulations.
- Perform regular inventory counts and stock rotation (FIFO) to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the storage facility to prevent contamination and spoilage.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies regarding material handling.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping targets efficiently.
- Assist in the packaging and labeling of goods for distribution.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in cold environments (-10°F to 40°F).
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic math skills for inventory and counting tasks.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license (Class C) may be required for certain driving tasks.
