The Role Overview
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be the linchpin of our daily logistics operations. You will oversee the receiving, stocking, and shipping processes while ensuring that all inventory is managed accurately and safely.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates to ensure high productivity and morale.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a zero-accident environment.
- Manage inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies to minimize shrinkage.
- Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to optimize workflow and meet delivery deadlines.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to staff members.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and report on operational metrics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a distribution or warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Certified Forklift Operator (CFO) required; ability to obtain certification if not already held.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
