Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts (Reach Trucks, Counterbalance) to load and unload freight trucks and pallets.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure machinery is in safe, working condition.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by checking quantities, labels, and damage reports.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas to ensure maximum space utilization and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely fulfillment of orders and efficient workflow.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including scanning, picking, and packing as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid, unexpired Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and walk on various surfaces.
- License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counts and documentation.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and weekends as business needs arise.
