Responsibilities
- Stock Management: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming merchandise against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and proper storage.
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits to maintain 100% accuracy in the inventory system.
- Data Entry: Update and maintain accurate inventory records in the company database (SAP or similar software) using handheld scanners and computers.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all packaging meets quality standards.
- Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels on the sales floor and warehouse shelves, initiating reorders when necessary.
- Reporting: Identify and report inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business or Logistics is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and familiarity with barcode scanning software or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors in data and physical stock.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and management.
