Job Overview:
As a Material Handler, you will be the backbone of our warehouse operations, ensuring that inventory is managed accurately and goods are shipped and received efficiently. We offer a supportive work culture where your contributions are valued.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Verify and count stock items against records to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Picking & Packing: Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using appropriate materials and equipment.
- Material Movement: Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on warehouse equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is a plus but not required for entry-level roles.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- License: Valid Forklift Certification is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills for inventory counting, and proficiency with handheld scanners.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
