Job Overview
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the accurate movement and storage of goods, ensuring inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment (reach trucks, pallet jacks) in compliance with safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and to shipping docks.
- Scan, label, and track inventory using WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and barcode scanners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Perform cycle counts and assist in physical inventory audits.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to meet daily production schedules.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to obtain a forklift operator certification (training provided).
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
