As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that our inventory is managed accurately and our distribution process runs smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move products and materials to and from storage areas, production areas, and delivery vehicles using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Verify inventory counts and accuracy by conducting regular stock checks and reconciling discrepancies with the warehouse management system.
- Package and prepare items for shipment, ensuring all labels, barcodes, and documentation are correctly applied and organized.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company housekeeping standards.
- Operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and pallet jacks, performing routine inspections and maintenance checks.
- Assist in organizing and optimizing storage space to improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and basic computer literacy for inventory tracking.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
