Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery to move, locate, and place materials.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, counting, and documenting stock movements using WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
- Picking and Packing: Fulfill customer orders by accurately selecting, packing, and labeling products for shipment.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep storage areas clean, orderly, and safe by adhering to 5S standards and safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Load and Unload Trucks: Efficiently load and unload freight from trailers using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Licensing: Possession of a valid Forklift Certification is a major plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform physical labor in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
