Job Overview
The Material Handler plays a critical role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that inventory is managed efficiently and safely. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to advance their career in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and vehicles using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Verify inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records using warehouse management systems.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Pack and crate products securely for shipping, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to streamline workflow and reduce turnaround times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or material handling is preferred.
- Valid Forklift Certification (Class A or B) is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld scanners.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
